At Metcalfe’s skinny HQ, we all eat, sleep and breath popcorn. But we thought we would go one step further and find a way to drink it… Allow us to introduce Metcalfe’s skinny’s Topcorn Tipple.
2 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
2½ cups plain popcorn (popped)
120ml popcorn water
45ml butterscotch schnapps
15ml heavy cream
1) Popcorn Water – In a small saucepan, bring the water, sugar and salt to a boil over medium heat. Add the popped popcorn and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 5 minutes and strain mixture through a sieve, keeping the liquid and discarding what’s left in the sieve. Allow to cool.
2) Martini – place a handful of ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Add the popcorn water, butterscotch ripple, vodka and cream. Shake well and pour into a chilled martini glass.
